Roll On Mississippi

We just made it to Madison, MS. Sorry I haven’t been blogging and “twittering” more. I’m not as connected as Drew is with his iphone. I think I need to get one.

Well where do I start……

After Adair’s we had a nice long day of driving and stopped at a place named Graceland Too. Words cannot describe it. Seriously, I’ve been sitting and staring at the computer screen now for 5 minutes trying to figure out exactly what to write. I simply can’t put it into words. You all HAVE to visit Graceland Too. It’s like going to Graceland, a haunted house, an amazing museum and a great comedy show all in one.

After Drew opened my eyes to Graceland Too he introduced me to Shrimp and Grits at a great place called City Grocery. It sounded pretty strange to me, but was one of the best meals I have ever had. In fact I have put my foot down and since we have an off day tomorrow I am forcing us to head back to Oxford to have Shrimp and Grits again at City Grocery before we head to Georgia (actually it didn’t take much persuading as it’s Drew’s favorite meal in the world). As a repayment I am taking Drew to vist Johnny Cash’s grave in Nashville when we hit town.

Some good stories have been told, a lot of laughs, great bourbon, awesome food, nice people and a couple of comfortable couches.

Check out the pictures we’ve posted….and if anyone has taken any at the shows make sure and post them to the website – the more the better. Drew got a good shot of me with John Daly last night (actually we played Tiger Woods Golf on Wii until late in the night and I was John Daly…….that was a picture taken after I hit a hole in one on the final hole to win the match against Drew and our friend Billy).

The tour just started but so far it’s been great. Tonight we’re playing a house concert (at an amazing house) in Madison. We just arrived a few minutes ago and I thought I’d post a quick blog and let everyone know what’s going on.

I’ll post something again tomorrow and let you know the latest stories of our rambling around. Hope to see you all soon and thanks to everyone who’s made it out to the shows so far.
