Just stopping by to say a few words. First of all, I know I can speak for Rodney when I say that we’re extremely excited about this tour. You wouldn’t know it from that picture of me above these words… I look sad, or uninterested or something. Trust me, I’m not either one of those things. I think I was looking at my guitar tuner or something. I definitely wasn’t bored, I can tell you that. Playing shows with Rodney are always a blast. It’s truly a pleasure to share the stage with a friend and with an artist that I respect and enjoy. I’m sure I’ll still feel that way after the next 100 shows we’re seemingly playing together, since Rodney is a pretty easy going guy… but 100 shows is a lot. I’ll be sure to report any fist fights or throwdowns we may have along the way.

That brings me to my next point– keeping you all updated of our events.

The wonderful people that run The9513.com have provided us with this fantastic website that, at least to my technologically inept brain, will allow us to interact with all of you in just about every internet-driven way imaginable. We’ll be blogging, responding to your twitters (tweets? I don’t know) posting pictures every day, and posting an album of live tunes we’re planning on recording during this first jaunt of our tour. Consider us open books- anything you want to ask, request, share, or state- send it our way. We’ll do our best to answer, entertain, enjoy, and digest it all.

Entertain to an extent, that is. I don’t think we’ll be honoring any requests to play a show in our boxer shorts or anything like that. Trust me, this is for your protection and not for our fragile egos. You don’t want to see it.

So please, interact. Become a part of this little experiment. We hope to be coming to a town near you. So far we’ve got some East Coast dates up here, and we’re adding new shows to our Texas leg of the tour every day. Look for some European dates soon, as well as information about a West Coast swing we’ll be making in September.

And seriously, I’m not bored in that picture. I promise.
